the translator for russian could no longer do translations!
so this was taken out for the 13s until someone could be found who wanted to continue
The current Russian language library is only 60% translated and the volunteer translator could not continue. We have supplied details to a new volunteer but we have not heard back on the progress.
We can only release a Russian version when the translation is complete. Of course if your command of English is good, you can upgrade to the international version and use in English or one of the other supported languages.

I've noticed that the Russian language support for your file manager is only 60% complete.

Yes, I don't speak Russian, but I would be happy if there were a conversational Russian translation of Directory Opus !
My late sister's daughter from NYC has a very serious boyfriend ( a winner this time ), whose immigrant family is first Russian language. He is fluent in both English and Russian.
They live together in Rhode Island today.
From a wedding I attended some years ago was this real Russian sign.
I have no idea how it got into the US, but I love it !

Your translation is correct, but I'd add more emphasis with exclamation marks: "Caution! Bears!" That's exactly what it means.

We cannot sell Russian version because of the ongoing invasion of Ukraine so there's no progress on the Russian translation.
I'm sorry, just 3 months ago you answered that the translation is not ready and were looking for volunteers to translate it. The invasion has been going on for 3 years, didn't you know when you answered above that there is no translation due to the fact that it is not ready and you need a translator?
And now such a strange answer in the end, when the translation is already apparently ready.
In addition, local residents speak Russian not only in Russia, but also in a large number of other countries, in Moldova, where I live, almost everyone speaks Russian, and millions more people in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and many other countries

We never found anyone who wanted to work on the translation.
I can help with the translation, but need to estimate the amount of work and effort, how much precious time It will take, whether to translate one line at a time and insert it, Or how it happens, you can contact me and write a little more detail or maybe there is something like a video, I can try to finish the translation, but need to understand the amount of works

Hi! I understand that your position is linked to the current geopolitical situation, and I respect your right to make decisions in accordance with your beliefs. However, I would like to draw your attention to a few points.
The Russian language is not just the language of Russia. It is spoken by millions of people around the world, including people from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and many other countries. Many of these people have nothing to do with politics, but because of your decision they will be deprived of the opportunity to use the programme in their native language.
If your aim is to protest against the actions of a particular state, perhaps a fairer solution would be to restrict sales in Russia, but not to exclude the Russian language as such. Banning Russification affects a large number of innocent users for whom your product could remain convenient and useful.
I hope you will reconsider your position and consider the interests of the entire Russian-speaking audience, not just the political context.
If you need any help with the translation, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am sure that there will be people willing to get involved in the process.

I'm from Ukraine (currently living in Poland). My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, but my English is pretty weak (I'm translating this message using ChatGPT).
I recently found your program in a Russian-speaking Telegram channel, and it instantly caught my attention. After downloading the trial version, I realized this is exactly what I've been missing my whole life. Right now, I'm trying to figure out the settings, but using my phone camera and Google Translate makes it really difficult.
As a Ukrainian, I’d be really happy if you added the Ukrainian language, and in that case, I’d 100% buy a license. But honestly, I think adding Russian would be a more reasonable decision because it has tens of times more native speakers - even here in Ukraine, almost everyone understands it, and every second person speaks it. Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. It's a good point that Russian isn't just spoken inside of Russia.
As I said before, our main issue is we have no one actually prepared to work on the translation at the moment. Opus 12 was when we last had a "reasonably" up-to-date Russian translation, and there have been several thousand string changes since then.

We've put the current Russian language file into the 13.15.1 beta if you want to give it a try. It might not be 100% complete yet but I think it's pretty close.
