Safe to delete a folder from recycle bin that still exists

For one reason or the other I needed to un- and re-install a program (it didn't work properly)
After uninstalling I forgot to empty the recycle bin, regretfully so.

So, now I have the exact same folder in both the recycle bin (12,4MB) and actually on disk (just 3MB ..)

when emptying the recycle bin, it stumbles of that folder and I am getting a popup telling me that
I need administrator rights to delete it. Until now I leave the folder in the recycle bin.

I might delete it, but wonder what might happen with the actual folder on my C-drive (under ProgramData)..

Would assume that what is in the recycle bin, does not have any reference anymore with the actual
folder (even if it has the same name)? So basically it could be deleted, but ... am not sure.

Strange situation, and not really Opus-related, but it should be safe as far as I know.

You can always make a backup of the folder first to be sure.

I agree, it is not Opus related, but actually this here is the closest I can get to experts with regards to file management.
Wouldn't whom else to ask...

Thanks for the suggestion.
