Samsung galaxy S6 and 'find duplicate files' tool

Hi guys - hoping someone has an idea about this: partial problem with access to jpg's on samsung s6 galaxy

My s6 phone (samsung-SM-G890A) is visible in DO11 when I plug it in as usb. Can do jpg file copies to other folders on PC, etc...
(Directory Opus Pro 11.16 Build 5738 x64 OS 6.3 (B:9600 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0)

However, when trying to do a duplicate file check between the phone's Phone/DCIM/Camera folder and a picture folder on the PC hard drive, I try to 'add folder to search';--> the folder selection window in DO11 duplicate file tool does not display/find the samsung device or folders; it does show other USB hd's without a problem.

Any ideas?

thanks - Rick

Assuming the phone is mounted via MTP, you'd need to copy the files to the PC first and then run the duplicate check.

Think of MTP like FTP. You can only do limited things on it, mainly transferring files and doing simple things like renaming and deleting.

Thank you. Very helpful
