You can't have looked very hard.
The FAQs link in my signature goes to the list of FAQs organised by subject. That's also the post stickied at the top of the FAQs forum.
The folder formats FAQ is the second FAQ in that list. It's got "folder formats" in its name and is under the "Folders, Formats and View Modes" category.

If you search that way you're only searching the first page of the FAQs forum.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong ... my changes will still be saved in the folder I've edited
