I am still having issues since the last update where the screen doesn't seem to refresh correctly. I have attached a screenshot where you can see duplicate files in the same directory. There is not really duplicate files and if I close DO and reopen DO the display will only show one file. It seems to be a screen refreshing issue? Do you have any ideas of what could be causing this issue? It even shows the duplicate files in both sides of the split tree.
Thank you for your quick response and nice catch on the "At Top" selection. I didn't realize "At Top" was highlighted. I just installed this DO on a new computer and imported all my settings from my previous computer. I have changed the default lister to now start at the "Downloads" Directory instead of "At Top". It seems strange the files displayed are from the "Downloads" directory but "At Top" is highlighted. Somehow DO was showing "Downloads" and also must be showing the same file from "At Top". This seems very strange to me. When "At Top" is highlighted I get the duplicate files, but if I click on the "Downloads" folder in the Library "At Top" the file display is correct without the duplicates. If I click on "At Top" it displays every folder in all the Folders which are in the "At Top" library. This doesn't seem to be logical to me. I was wondering where the random duplicates are coming from that are not really in "At Top" or "Downloads".
One more question, I have the screenshot below which shows the folders included in the "At Top" library and it displays the order I would prefer to have them shown in the tree. I can't seem to get DO to display the folders in this order. They display in the correct order in File Explorer, just not DO. DO seems to always sort alphabetically. Where can I change this setting?
Let's stick to one question at a time, or things will get impossible to follow.
One thing that stands out is that you have a library which contains other libraries. I didn't even know that was possible, but it could be what is confusing things.
Is it only happening in libraries which are configured like that? What happens if you temporarily remove the library-in-library setup?
Actually there are no Libraries within Libraries. There are folders in the Libraries and I am not sure why only some of them show a directory location. I have provided a snapshot below which shows the right-click properties for each one of the folders in the "At Top" library.
I know it seems that way, but they are just folders located on my D: drive as the picture shows. I will mention that all the normal folders such as Documents, Pictures, Videos and Music were redirected to D:\OneDrive. I did not redirect the Downloads folder because this is the place I work on files and I didn't what OneDrive to continuously sync files which are only for the most part temporary.
Heat Calcs, I-Codes and Training-Instructions folders are folders located in the documents folder which I placed in the "At Top" library for quick access because these are my main work folders.
The snapshot shows my user folders, the D:One drive folders, and the redirection properties "Location" for the Documents folder.
Since I changed the default lister to Downloads, instead of At Top, I have not seen any duplicate file issues. Thank you for all your assistance, it is greatly appreciated. I think we can call this issue resolved.
The last question is how can I turn off the sorting order for my libraries. I have them in the order I would like them to display, which works in File Explorer, but doesn't seem to work in DO. Everything thing else is working wonderful in DO.
