Hi everyone,
I wish to be able to search documents by their title, and not just name. So the match should pick whatever is a fit. Because, many of my files-names are actually codes, and don't properly describe the contents of each document.
I couldn't find any appropriate properties to change in Preferences.

You could use 'Find Files':
and add a line to specify .PDF if needed.
do you mean with the basic Ctrl+F ? Doesn seem to have the search by title option (or in dropdowns).
I've been spoiled with find as you type & Everything search for way too long to explore other filters and search functions. Please explain how to access the tool you refer to and whether I need to adjust any presets there.
Use advanced mode.
