Search for multiple files

Hi guys,

I'm confused!!!

If I use the file filter to search for files with "e08" or "e09" in the filename I enter the text (e08|e09) which filters the relevant files (two in this case). If I use Tools --> Find Panel and enter the same text, this results in no files being found. If I switch to advanced search and enter "e08" or "e09", the correct files two files are found.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but I'm certain in the past the search criteria (e08|e09) would have resulted in the two files being found using the Find Panel.

Can someone confirm this please...?

Your toolbar filter field must have the Partial Matches option on, which effectively puts a * at both ends of whatever you type into it. So typign (e08|e09) into it really filters on (e08|e09) which is what you need to use in the advanced find panel.
