Searching in xml file crashes out Opus

I'm trying to search a folder for a text string (google.co.uk/ig?hl=en) but every time I run the search opus crashes out on me. After spending some time slowly removing the files and folders from within the folder that’s causing the crashing I've managed to narrow it down to one .xml file. After locating the file that was causing opus to crash I then started to remove some of the text from the search string to narrow down whats causing the problem. I've found that if I just search for "?hl=", in the containing text: field and run a search on the folder that contains that one .xml file it crashes opus.

Any ideas?

If you want us to confim that we also see the crash, please attach a zip of the XML file that's required since it seems the crash doesn't happen with the same search on different files, at least here.

If you want GPSoftware to fix the bug you should report it to them (they'll probably need the file as well).

I've attached the xml file. It's a file thats used by my browser to display rss feeds.

Just need to save it in a folder and do a search in that folder for "?hl=" (without the quotes) in the containing text: field of the opus find panel. Just tried it again this morning and it crashed straight out.

If someone can confirm it I can submit it to GPSoftware.

Thanks

P.S. Just tried to add the file but it said the files with that ext are not allowed so i've zipped it up.
temp.xml.zip (5.06 KB)

Confirmed. Provided the "use wildcards" option is also selected you get a crash when searching.

Report away.

Thanks Leo
