Is it possible to set up a search that searches multiple folders (inc subfolders) that happen to have the same name but are on multiple drives? If so how is it done?

Maybe... It depends a bit on what you're searching for inside those folders.
Or do you mean you want to search for any folders which have the same name in multiple locations? I don't think there is a way to do that. (The duplicate finder could do it for files, but not folders.)
If it's a one-off search then I would probably generate a text-file list of all folder names on all drives and then sort it and find the duplicate lines, but that's quite a long and tedious method if it's something you need to do more regularly.
