Hi
This is a weird one.Every time i log in i appear to have additional, stacked, Dopus windows - at least 5. I logged on the other day, and I had about 34 Dopus windows. It actually was quite a struggle to wrestle back control of the PC because Dopus was consuming so much CPU, it took a while to actually bring up a task manager and kill DOpus.
Any ideas what's going on? I am running the latest version.
If you have Opus set to re-open the previous windows on startup, and open more but never close them, then they'll accumulate like that. You can close them all at once by right-clicking the main taskbar icon.
It's also possible that something else is opening the windows during startup. If you turn off Explorer Replacement and then reboot, do you see a lot of Explorer windows open instead of Opus windows?
I have DOpus set to NOT open any listers on startup
And in fact, I should have clarified - this happens simply after I come back to the machine and login after the machine has gone to sleep. i.e. same login session - it's not login after a reboot.
Hi
ok - ran that experiment. No explorer windows (or Directory Opus windows) if i turn off explorer replacement.
Something else I've realised - i'm accumulating them one at a time. If I leave my PC locked overnight, i can expect to see about 10 new windows.
I've turned explorer replacement back on to see if the issue is still there...
Opus doesn't open random windows by itself, so something must be asking for them to open.
How long did you leave Explorer Replacement off for?
It's also possible that something is doing something unusual which doesn't cause Explorer to open a window for but confuses Opus to think it's asking for a new window. We'd probably have to give you a special debug version to find out if that's the case, unless you can work out what is opening the folders.
The folders/paths which are opened are often a clue as to what is opening them.
