Select file when dropping

Hi,
i'm testing Directory Opus and i need a standard-behaviour of the windows-explorer. It's very important for me - because i work a lot with dropping eMails into the explorer.
When i drop an eMail in the explorer i need to rename the file.

With the windows explorer: no Problem. The windows explorer 1) gets the focus and 2) selects the file dropped. So i just have to press F2 (rename) and start typing.

When i drop a file in Directory Opus it 1) doesn't get the focus and 2) the dropped file is not selected - so it's a hassle to find the dropped file, mark it, ... about 100 times a day...

Is there a way Directory Opus selects the file dropped?

Thanks for your help!

I think something like that is on the to-do list but AFAIK it's not possible in the current version.

Is this still on the to-do list? The issue is taken care of when drag-n-dropping between two Opus windows by following the advice from this topic:

But it seems like it's still impossible to accomplish something like what OP wanted (when other programs are involved). I've recently run into this very same issue myself.

Turning on Preferences / File Operations / Copy Options / Automatically select newly copied files seems to work, at least dragging from Explorer to Opus.

(Personally, I don't really like that option. I find it makes a mess of doing other things in the same folder while copying, and can be dangerous when files get selected while you're doing other things.)

I have that option enabled. It doesn't really make much difference, because, even though the file gets selected, the Opus window is still not in focus, so you still have to do an extra click before being able to rename (on top of a somewhat annoying flicker in some panes, again, due to focus change, I suspect).
