Show full filename in mouseover?

If there is a long filename that doesn't fit in column how are you supposed to see the full name?

In windows explorer you simply hover mouse over file and full name will show. In Directory Opus, mouseover displays additional info like file size but does not show full name.

You can put the name into the tooltip, since Opus lets you edit the tooltips. It's done through settings -> File Types.

Edit the generic "All Files" and "All Folders" types at the top and add {name} to their Info Tip tabs. (Leave the "All Files And Folders" info-tip blank.)

(Personally, instead of that, I have Opus set to auto-size the columns so they're always wide enough to fit the full names.)

I have enabled "auto-size columns" in folder options but I still can't see the full file name of some of the files in thumbnail mode. Any ideas?

"Auto-size columns" works for Details, Power and List modes but has no effect on Thumbnails mode.

Putting the name into the tooltip is probably the best option for Thumbnails mode.

Turning off Preferences / Display / Options / Use visual style to draw items (overrides selection colors) is another possibility (Thumbnails mode will then show the full name of the selected item, drawing on top of other items if needed), but has more (visual) side effects.
