SIMPLE ? = how to easily reset to the original defaults?

I would like to simply reset DOpus to its original state. I have done some searching and can't find a simple/easy answer. (I've experimented w. your help's suggestion on creating a more efficient use for D-Opus BUT have found this to slow D-Opus down a little. I'm very impatient and don't like 'slow downs'.)
When someone gets a moment, please drop me some info for this.

Make a backup before doing edits to the config. When going back restore that backup with the option to completely replace the exisiting config.
