Some folders i can't change sort order

i tried searching the forums with no luck, so sorry if this has been answered.

some folders when i go into them, i cannot change the sort field at all. actually, it will put the arrow in the field i click, but it just doesn't sort by that field, or any other field. i am assuming there is something in settings somewhere that maybe locks folders, but i haven't been able to find it.

any ideas?

ok, something i just noticed, it seems to sort files fine, but not folders

bah, go ahead and delete this post, i fixed it, i stupidly had checked the keep folders sorted alphabetically. i figured that out after noticing files could change order and i was just looking in the wrong place
