Some thoughts about touch functionality

On my Samsung Slate 700T moving lister without using scrollbars is not possible (same as tekguru).

Glad it is not just me. If you try to flick up and down a long list of files in a lister do you see the same issues I do ?

Yes, but if possible I use a BT-mouse when working heavily with DO (because of "long" arms ) It's faster than with touch or pen/digitizer.

Good

I agree most of the time I use my Wedge Mouse, but it would still be great to have DO support touch natively.

I occasionally use PocketCloud RDP app on my iPad which has support for Windows 8 multitouch. It would be nice if I could scroll in Opus while RDP-ing from my iPad.

Works for me...

Ok Jon, last time I tried was in DO10, so I tried again now with DO11 Beta on my Tablet with Win 8.1 Pro (using standard MS drivers for screen and digitizer): The scrollbar now scrolls up and down, but the lister/text doesn't move. When scrollbar is at each end (top and bottom), the DO-window jumps a bit.

No problems with IE, Opera, Office, Explorer, etc.

Exactly which is what I reported.

@tekguru: Sorry, somehow misread your post, in DO10 the scroolbars doesn't move.

Grin not a problem we got onto the same song sheet in the end

Before yesterday I never tried scrolling again, because nobody mentioned that touch-support for lister was added to DO (or was always supported) until Jon said that it works for him!!!

Ok, so there seems to be a bug on real touchscreens (the Logitech T650 is a touchpad with its own drivers).

To avoid further misunderstandings: Is the "back/forward"-gesture also supported and simply doesn't work like "up/down"?

Just got a laptop with Win 8 and touch screen just to discover DOpus indeed does not allow simple file list scrolling using touch, and grabbing scrollbars using touch is too tricky :frowning: Would be great to have this fixed in DO11

Yep, touch-support (listerwcroll) should work on... ehm, touchscreens?!

Indeed!

Touch scrolling should work now in the latest beta (Beta 11). We will definitely be adding support for other gestures in the future.

It works now! Thanks, DOpus team!!

Works here too! Great, thanks!

Ooh can't wait to use it tonight

Thanks Jon!
