Standalone Viewer: Link To Lister

Hi!

Is there an option, in preferences, to activate the button "Link to Lister" permanently? Or at least to have the status as a persistent option?

I did not found any appropriate option in settings so far.

Edit: OK, did modify the command in "Show"-button as follows, added LISTERLINK. Guess that's the best option for me and for others, too?

Show NOUSEEXISTING AUTOFILELIST LISTERLINK
@nodeselect

The default toolbars have something similar when you right-click the viewer pane button near the top right.

You can change double-clicks to do the same, as well as the Show button, if you want to always have lister-linking.

see this post Link to Lister option - PrivateBeta / PrivateBeta FeatureRequests - Directory Opus Resource Centre (dopus.com)

I guess a checkbox in Prefs could make sense. Will look into it.

At the moment, you can do the same thing via:

  • Settings > File Types
  • Recognized Images
  • Events
  • Left double-click

Change it from Show to:

Show LISTERLINK USEEXISTING=yes,avoid

@Leo, I use your suggestion to open a linked lister by default for images. Works great.

However, it does not work when I open an image file via a button that lists all files on the desktop: Go /desktop NEWTAB=findexisting FOLDERCONTENT=showempty, norecurse. Instead, the linked viewer displays a (the first?) file of the currenly opened folder (which is not /desktop).

This might be expected behavior, but is there a workaround to still use the internal viewer by default (without disabling the linked-mode)?
