Hi - I am trying to make dopus start up when the computer starts. My first attempt was to make it happen automatically was to enable the start on startup in Preferences. This does not work.
My next step was to put it in the Windows 11 startup folder. This works, but when dopus loads, it generates about 10 instances of the same error message:
I checked the task manager, and dopus is enabled, so it's not blocked.
It's also activated in the windows system manager >apps>startup.
I've also checked the windows registry, and dopus exsists there too.
There's nothing left to check or correct. Are there any switches for dopus.exe?
If you reboot with the Preferences startup option on, then wait for Windows to run the startup apps, does dopus.exe appear in the Task Manager process tab?
Are you saying the startup option doesn’t work based on the process list, or based on there being no Opus windows open? Depending on config, Opus may be starting and ready in the background but not opening any windows.
I have no problem launching Dopus from windows start up, it loads minimized.
What it does after launching is to open all the listers that have been used before shutdown. It does that silently, and only by clicking the Do icon on the taskbar does one realize that all these listers are open.
I found a setting in Preferences, but it doesn't seem to have an effect on Do. Here is the setting I used:
I know that I can close the listers with a right click on the icon, but that also closes Do.
So, I no longer have a problem launching Do at start up, it's just the open listers that is the problem.
