Startup Lister

Directory Opus used to open on start-up in the system tray without any Lister displayed, as I like it. Recently however, and for no apparent reason that I can see, a Lister has begun to appear on start-up. How can I revert to the previous behaviour?

Preferences / Launching Opus / Startup / Don't open any Listers (otherwise the options below apply)

I already have this option checked but a Lister opens nevertheless

And the other options?

"Launch DO automaticlly", "Open the default Lister". But it says that this option will not be activated if the "Don't open any listers" is checked"

Set it to run a command. Just cmd.exe or something. Close and restart DOpus (shouldn't need to reboot). If it runs that command even if you have "Don't open any listers" checked then it's probably a bug. If a lister still opens, it's something else doing it.

Or turn off Explorer Replacement and see if a File Explorer window opens instead of an Opus one. If so, something is opening folders at boot and Opus is just reacting to that.

Also, if you have PowerToys installed, please try the current beta version for this fix:

  • Fixed problem with PowerToys Command Palette causing Opus to open a window for a folder called "The Internet" (but showing the content of the desktop), if Explorer Replacement was switched into "for all folders" mode.
