Status and labels

I have assigned status and labels to some files and folders, if I format the pc the new settings applied to these files will be automatically maintained or do I need to do something before formatting? Thanks

Are the files on the drive that will be formatted?

Yes, in the folders on the internal hard drive of the computer

The labels normally apply to the files/folders themselves, and formatting the drive will wipe them.

You can also apply labels to fixed paths, which are stored in your Opus config. Ones applied that way can be saved by doing a config backup. But it’s not the default, so probably isn’t how the existing labels are stored.

Is there a possibility that in the future this functionality of saving the changes (of states and labels) applied to the folders will be added? For my work these changes are very useful (by marking the folders that contain the files I have worked on, I have immediate visual feedback of the work done), but if I do not have the possibility of keeping them safely (for example with the certainty of having them back after a problem that required a PC reset), that work methodology loses a lot of sense because it is not permanent. Is there really no way to solve it? Thanks

BackupMeta lets you backup and restore status and label information.

Thanks, I'll try it
