Status bar save

I have been playing with the status bar and saw the thread about different status bar setups. I can't believe how much I'm able to configure the status bar!

Currently, there are a few default "samples" in the Preferences/display/status bar box.

The issue is that some of the potential status bars can be quite complex. And to try them out, I have to save a text file somewhere other than DO.

What I wanted was a simple way to "Save" and "Load" the different status bar settings so I can have a few custom status bars easily available at the end of the "Samples" list or with "Save/Load" buttons.
Maybe right clicking the status bar could also have a flyout menu option (black right arrow) which then shows whatever save status bars are available. Then one could very easily switch status bars depending on what one is doing.
For example:
Getting ready to burn a Blu-Ray - select a status bar which shows how close the current files are to filling up the Disc.
Another status bar could be really tuned to comparing files with exact byte counts of selected files...
etc.

The request is to make this easily switchable between status bar setups.

Is this possible now?

If not, I guess I can just post a program request here:

It seems like a fairly obvious feature that should be included in Directory Opus since its already such an incredible explorer replacement...

There's no way to do that now. Usually you just define the status bar you want and use that all the time.

You can use the "hide" argument in the status bar so that certain items only show up when they have something to display. I use this to show total playtime for music files, for example. Not what you want but it might be useful.

Thanks Steve. The hide arguement is very useful.

I put a program request in for "Status bar saves" because some of the status bars can be cluttered or with too much hiding.

I'd just like a simple way to switch out multiple simple status bars for different purposes.
I realize some may not think this feature would be useful, but there's whole lot of options in Opus that may/may not be useful.
That's what makes Directory Opus so amazing! Its is totally configurable!

Hopefully "Status Bar Load/Save" gets added eventually.
