Stop autplay of media files

Hello,

since some versions media (movies, mp3, what ever is recognized) start automatically in the viewer pane. I have disabled (also enabled and disabled it again) the option "Automatically play Movies" in the Movie plugin and applied the hint from an older post, but still the media files start to play on selection.

How can I get the the viewer panbe to stop that?

Which plugin(s) is/are handling the files in question? It should tell you in the viewer pane's title if you make it wide enough to not truncate it.

thanks for the quick reply. It's "Windows Media Player". (I have looked in all of the options from this program and didn't find a suitable one.)

Configure the ActiveX plugin and within there turn on the Windows Media Player line in the top part of the list (Preview Handlers). That should not autoplay (unlike WMP itself; the preview handler is different).

Thanks. That did it. (But I must confess the Viewer plugin configuration is currently beyond my understanding :wink:)
