Stop column width adjustment

I am using version 13.5, and I would like to stop the columns from auto adjusting. I would like columns to be the width I set them on exit.

Folder > Folder Format > Columns, to change the resizing mode.

Settings > Set Lister Defaults (and choose the option to include the folder format), to save them as the new defaults.

Leo,

I must be doing something wrong. No matter what I do, when I quit and restart DOpus, the first column (fine name) is huge to accommodate the longest title. It seems to auto resize, even though I have unchecked the auto resize box. I do not want the columns to resize.

I don't know how to get to the first set of menus you gave me. I just right-click on the top bar above the columns and then go to columns/resize. I don't see a place to click on Folder/Folder Format/Columns.

I did not have difficulty in setting the lister default to include folder format.

Change the width to fill or a fixed pixelsize, then click "Save..." and choose "Save format for all folders".

You are not alone.

Late reply yes, but this is my single biggest frustration with Directory Opus. I'm a long time user, paid for multiple PCs, and love the program. Except for this.

Please just consider giving us a setting to fix columns to the width we set while in the tab. If I resize the column for Name, then come back, it should stay that width.

I also am struggling to find the menus that are mentioned in this thread. There's no "Folder" area that I can find and Hardkorn's screenshot is... where?

Just trying to solve this simple problem. Sorry if I sound jaded.

The Folder menu is at the top of the main window, near the right.

Thank you.
