Sub Collection removal, how?

Issue:
Added a bunch of nested folders to a collection ("add as sub collections"). Can't find a way to get rid of them short of going into each subdirectory, selecting each file, and doing a 'remove from collection.'

Isn't there a way to do "remove from collection" on a group of nested sub collections? If so, I'm not finding it. If not, I'm really going to regret doing a bulk addition!

Thank you,
Rob

P.S. I wish the collections would allow treating them even more like regular file lists. Especially allowing the exteneded listing methods.

Just select them and delete them.

Sub-collections should be deleted to get rid of them.

Actual folders in collections should not be deleted (since that would delete the real folder) and should be removed instead.

Maybe with a sub-collection the delete and remove actions should both be available and do the same thing? At the moment only delete does anything.

I'm not sure what you mean. You can view collections in thumbnails mode and so on. What is it that doesn't work? (Flat View?)

Thanks for the info - I was worried about using delete because there's always the caution of "delete here and you'll delete the actual file" with collections.

And yes, flat view - specifically flat view with all the nested directories and files. This way you could add a bunch of "buried" directory structures to work on at the same time.

Thanks for the quick response!

For this i´d suggest some extra warning option, which is on by default. One could accidently delete files, thinking the wrong.

There already is extra warning which is on by default.

ooops, somehow i overlooked this, currently using collections rather rarely, pardon.
