When using thumbnails mode, this always annoyed me a bit, although it´s the logical behavior: whenever the cursor is accidentally over a file, that file will be selected. After reading the current fixed list for vrs. 9.1.1.7
"Drop-down menus opened via the keyboard now ignore the position of the mouse cursor; previously if the mouse happened to be where the menu opened, the item under the mouse would be selected."
i think, this likewise would be a beneficial option for the thumbnails mode, if possible. The "mouse over" behavior could be altered in the preferences, selecting a file would explicitly require a mouse click then.
Files are only selected if you click them (or use the Select command), unless you've turned on Preferences - Listers - Options: Single click to open an item (point to select - does not apply to Power mode) in Opus, in which case you presumably want that to happen.

Hmm, that´s true, i do have single click mode activated, to be more precise. Anyway, it would be nice if it would be possible to have the single click behaviour turned off while in thumbs/tiles modes. It´s no big deal, but sometimes a bit irritating.
