I had to switch back to the default Windows 11 File Manager, but I can't figure out how to switch back properly; specifically, folders just don't open after uninstalling Opus. I have to "open in new tab", and opening folders from a program often does nothing. Does anyone have a fix?
Uninstalling should revert those changes automatically.
If something went wrong, see here:
Running the attached .reg file appears to have restored some of the functionality; I can now open folders within my file explorer without having to "open in new tab", but attempting to open folders from some programs still doesn't work; I tried to re-install Opus so as to re-uninstall it, but that requires a license (which is expired)
did you already use the extended license period? if not you can extended the trail once unless they changed that.
Really? What happens when you run the installer?
If the C:\Program Files\GPSoftware
directory still exists, try deleting it, then reboot. (If you can't delete it, rename it or everything inside it, then reboot and try deleting it again. That should work around the files being in use if something is still loading them.)
If that is removed as well as the registry settings you've already done, Opus should no longer have any impact on how the system opens folders, and any issues may be due to something else.
