Switching from/to network share: panels switch to "File Collection"

At [Settings, Preferences, Folder Tree, Contents] I have selected "Start folder tree at: This PC".
I usually run DO in Dual Vertical Folder view.

Assume both panels (folders) show This PC.

In the top of the left panel I now enter the IP of a NAS: \\10.0.0.2 (haven't pressed Enter yet)

After pressing Enter I do NOT land on the NAS, but the File Collections appear?!

When I manually enter \\10.0.0.2 AGAIN (and press enter) I do see the NAS and its shares:

When I now click on the right panel to go to This PC again, this panel ALSO spontaneously switches to File Collections.

About to click here:

After click:

In this folder I now navigate to This PC via the tree.
But when I now click on the left panel (showing the NAS) again, this panel again switches to File Collections!

In other words: It is almost impossible to use 2 panels when 1 is showing a network share.

Running DO Pro 12.23 x64 build 7655.

BTW: Quite annoying I am limited to adding only 5 images to this post...

That seems quite strange. What happens if you don't try to go to the network drive, but just click on the right-hand panel?

Ok. Not sure if I understand you correctly, but I tried the following:
Starting with both panels (folders) showing This PC.
In the top of the left panel I now enter the IP of a NAS: \\10.0.0.2 and press enter
File Collections appear in this panel
I now click on the right panel.
As a result the right side also shows File Collections

On a sidenote:
I noticed that in this process (after entering the IP and pressing enter) the "This PC" item in the tree disappears. Instead the Network node appears.
Just a thought: At first This PC node is selected at the tree view. When changing the folder to a network (by entering IP and pressing Enter) the "This PC" tree entry disappears. As a result the selected/active entry in the tree view drops to the next line, which is File Collections in my case. A moment later the Network Node appears in the tree (where "This PC" was previously)

Btw: If it helps I am willing to demonstrate this in a remote session.

What happens if you just click on the right panel, without trying to go to the network path first?

Nothing unusual, everything as intended.

Ok thanks. Could you also please try all of this (including going to the network share) but close the Folder Tree first (by clicking its close button), and see if that makes a difference?

Yep, closing the folder tree makes a difference: no weird behaviour in folder panes when entering IP, navigating the NAS, switching between left and right panels, local or network. Everything is working as expected.

Could you also please paste in screenshots of your Preferences showing the Preferences / Folder Tree / Contents and Preferences / Folder Tree / Options pages? Thanks.

Sure, here you go:

Thanks very much for all the information. We will have a fix for this in the next update.
