SYNC does not delete anymore

Regarding the "SYNC very slow" thread

[url]SYNC very slow / UPDATE ALL very fast]

I removed the columns "Description" and "Duration" from the format - my custom format - in the preferences.

At first I have noticed that the "Content Type Formats" (Documents, Images, Movies, Music) were enabled - although I never did this or removed it a long time ago. I know this because I did remove it (again) a longer time ago! I don't know why these were enabled again - however. I only have had my custom format ever.

The columns were only removed from the left/source part (commander view), not from the right/destination part. Also after a re-start it didn't help. I had to manually remove the column from the right.

After that I started the sync. The first accident was that the mode was the "two way copy" was enabled again (I had this issue a few month ago too!). A lot of shit just happened - because I only ever had "one way copy". This happend from my normal data drive to my backup hard disc.

After selecting "one way copy" as usual including deleting, the SYNC detects what to delete, but finally does not delete anything. After comparing / sycning again - nothing happens. I also manually checked and set all files in all sub-folders to my owner - but always the same. I re-started the PC, the hard disc. DO reports to delete but finally does nothing.

"Delete1.jpg" shows after the compare:

"Delete2.jpg" after the SYNC (hmm .. why is the display on the right side not on the top as usual?)

"Delete3.jpg" after I moved up to the top manually - the files are still marked for delete.

What should I do?

Is there a command or script to delete all on the destincation which are NOT existing on the source?

I have deleted the files in the folder "00_Check-In" (second part of the last picture) manually on the backup drive.

Started the SYNC again and now it has worked and DO deleted all other files too.

I think I can remember - when DO can not delete a file nothing will happen anymore. But I can see no error in a log, etc.

However - the SYNC process should be over-worked during a 11.x release.

Are you deleting to the recycle bin?

Opus hands over the list of files to delete to the OS, if that's the case. Disabling the recycle bin may get better error handling, depending on what's going wrong.
