Synchronize filters not working?

This is my first time using Opus (I'm evaluating 8.2.2), and I find that synchronize filters appear to not work properly. In this example I want to filter out hidden files/folders, but as you can see from the attached screenshot hidden folders are included in the result.

I've even tried excluding the specific hidden folder names in the filter, and it still doesn't work. But the same filter works when doing a find operation.

It looks like the filter in Synchronize operations is only applied to the files. Opus always looks in all folders.

So in this case it will be excluding hidden files, but it will still look inside hidden folders and copy any non-hidden files within them.
