I usually use a single lister with tabs above. But as all know when the number of tabs increases we can have to use a right button to see the remaining out of sight.
I thought of the possibility of have the so called tabs bar vertical. Is this possible? and how?
Do you mean you want tabs going down the left edge of the window, instead of the top/bottom edge? You can do that with Style tabs but I don't think you can with Folder tabs.
Or do you mean you want multiple rows of tabs? Opus won't do that.
You mean like when the taskbar is docked on the left of the screen?
For a moment I thought you meant vertical tabs which were rotated 90 degrees as well, and I was wondering how that was better at saving space. Then I remembered the taskbar.
So, essentially, you want a Folder (Tab) List down the side, right?
That isn't possible at the moment but I think the idea has merit.
When I'm using TextPad I certainly prefer having the "Document Selector" list down the side of the screen rather than the Document Tabs at the top of it. (So much so that I turned off the tabs.)
Personally I don't tent to have many tabs open at once in Opus so it's fine for me as it is, but for people that do open a lot at once I can see how a list would be better.
I've just dropped a suggestion about this sort of thing into GPSoftware's to-do list for consideration.
Thanks for taking this as a suggestion for a future release.
I'm one of those that open quite a lot of folders.
So I think the idea is to see all the tabs.
Vertically that would be possible since it takes much less space.
