Tabs

Is there a way to turn of TABS?
When I open a new folder I would like to be able to go back using BACK BUTTON (This I have on my mouse [left click mouse wheel])

How are you opening a new folder? Opening one by (double)clicking it doesn't normally create a new tab.

Thanks for replying
If I open a new folder by right click and choose "open in directory opus". it doesn't open a new tab but if I double click on a folder, it always opens a new tab.
In an older version there used to be a setting for tuning off tabs but I have spent hours looking for this setting in Opus 10 with no luck.

I don't know why is say Opus: Directory Opus 9
I'm using Directory Opus 10

You can change the version show on this site in the User Control Panel

I think you want: Preferences / Launching Opus / Explorer Replacement / Open external folders in a new tab.

I'm very new to forums so sorry if I have done the wrong thing but this,
"I think you want: Preferences / Launching Opus / Explorer Replacement / Open external folders in a new tab."
didn't work

I just tried Opus 10 in a virtual machine with default (clean install) settings. Double clicking on a folder opens it in the same tab. Have you perhaps changed the File Types configuration for All Folders? The default for left double-click should be Go. If yours is set to Go NEWTAB that could explain what you are seeing.

Maybe we need to start from the beginning.

Where are you double-clicking the folders that causes them to open in new tabs? In Opus, or outside of Opus?

I don't believe it!!!!
That's exactly what it was!!!
Thanks Aussieboykie and Leo

It looks like you've edited those yourself at some point, since none of them are the defaults and "close tab" isn't a valid command.

I really don't remember doing it but, hey I'm an old guy and the memory is not so good.
