I have been recently tagging my pictures with DOpus and I decided to tag all my MP4 files as well.
Come to find out, I cannot play any of the MP4 videos anymore after tagging. When I open them with VLC it will play but its just a black screen with no sound. I went back in the MP4 files and removed the tag but it doesn't fix the issue. I also tried to load the videos with handbrake to convert to MKV but handbrake doesn't recognize the file.
Has anyone encountered this or know of a solution?
Which version of Opus are you using? Still Opus 10 as in your profile, or a later version now?
This may only happen with MP4 files created via certain software (or certain actions within certain software).
Would it be possible to send us an MP4 file which the problem happens with, but a version of it before Opus has modified it? (So, find an MP4 file, make a copy, verify that editing tags on the copy causes the problem, and then send us the original MP4.)
If you can do that, and link your account, we will look at what is happening with the file and the tags within it.
