Target doesn't get updated after editing .url

This behavior seems to be a bug:

  • Create a .url by dragging an url from a browser to Opus
  • Change the file with a text editor
  • Open the url by double clicking the file
  • -> The browser will open the original url
  • Change the filename (Refresh is not enough)
  • Open the url by double clicking the file
  • -> The browser will open the new url

This problem is probably related to this discussion.

Oops... exactly the same... seems to be a windows problem then.

Windows caches .url files and if you just edit them with a text editor it won't always notice the change.

Yes... I was a bit surprised though that even a refresh wouldn't help. Well, one day Microsoft will take care of this :smiley:
