When browsing to that directory I can't filter the contents with the filter steje made for me.

Is there a fix?
You're probably viewing the virtual folder rather than the real one, so Opus isn't handling the file display directly and cannot filter what's shown.
To view the real directory go to Preferences / Folders / Virtual Folders and add the temporary internet folder under "Treat the following virtual folders as real."
