Is there anyway that when I'm using the Directory Opus file viewer to view a text file and another program changes it, that when it auto-updates the text it stays at the bottom of the file instead of scrolling to the top?
Anyone have an answer for this? I've got log files that update constantly. -Every few seconds, new text is written. I want to preview the files in Directory Opus so I can keep track of the log without reopening it every few seconds. But when changes are made, the file refreshes and it shows the top(beginning) of the file, not the latest text written. I want it to show me the bottom(end) of the file and the latest text written to it.
Probably nobody's answered because nobody knows... but I don't think there's any way to do what you want. All plugin options are fairly basic and accessible through Settings->Preferences->Viewer->Viewer Plugins.
You essentially want the text plugin to provide a "tail" command equivilant... which seems a pretty reasonable request for enhancement.
