Text size keeps changing

I am running the 64 bit latest version of DOpus (9529.3660 x64) through 64bit W7 home premium. My pc is linked to a 42inch plasma tv running at 1920x1080 (32b colour, 30 refresh rate) and I use dopus mainly to display multimedia folders on this pc for video and music. I have set up a really good lister with everything eaxtly where i want it (Toolbar across top - drives listed to left - links to all the main multimedia folders to the right and the listing of the folder contents where it should be in the middle on a nice metalic background!).

I have used Tahoma, semibold, 11 point text for all these items. However, at random on a reboot the fonts change to 7 point, which means they are difficult to read from the sofa. So I change them all back to 11 point, which of course i have to do one by one. At a later random reboot the fonts then change to 19 point which is way too large. If i then change them back to 11, on another boot they go back to 7 point!

I've tried backing up the correct settings many times and then when the fonts come up wrongly i re-install the backup, but this doesnt change anything so assume fonts is not a feature of the backup process.

This has only been happening since either the last upgrade or the one before (can't remember which) and is getting very frustrating. Any help solving this would be greatly appreciated.

Is your OS set to use a high DPI?

If so, it sounds like this issue:
[Font size changing bug)

To check the DPI setting in Windows 7, right-click the desktop and choose Screen Resolution, then click Make text and other items larger or smaller. If it's not set to the Smaller - 100% (default) option then it's in high DPI mode.

As far as I can tell, there is a bug in Windows where sometimes it thinks Opus is high-DPI aware and sometimes it thinks it isn't. (That definitely happens, but I'm not certain it's what causes the font-size issue for you and the poster of the other thread. It's just a theory so far. If your OS isn't set to use high DPI then the theory can't be true. On the other hand, if I'm right then it should be fixed by making Opus high DPI aware, which is planned for a future version.)

Thanks for your reply. Yes you are right i have set the dpi to 170%!! But if i reduce it then other applications that dont allow for font changes are tiny, which is not practical on a 42" screen across a room, so i guess i will just have to put up with the changes in font size until the update happens
