Tgz extension

I got a file today with a tgz extension. tgz = UNIX Tar File Gzipped

I added '.tgz' to Settings – Preferences – ZIP Files – Settings – Extensions. I tried to unzip it ("Extract HERE") with DOpus internal zip function. Nothing happens.

I know I am missing something, of course. Glad for help.

Tar and GZip are completely separate formats to Zip.

If you download 7Zip or IZArc or something similar then you can extract .tgz files using them.

Yes, that is for sure. I thought that DOpus internal zip function covered a slew of different formats. My mistake.
