Hello again everyone. Is there a way to set a lister to open always in the foreground when it's called from a secondary app?
For example, if I click open file location (#1) I can see that it is opening a lister (#2) but it's not bringing directory Opus to the foreground.
This happens with quite a few apps and I've tried to search for for a fix, but my google-fu is failing me. I understand there may be quite a few listers, so it would be good just to show the most recent one?
If Preferences / Launching Opus / Explorer Replacement / Open a new tab instead of a new window is turned on, does it make a difference if you turn that off (and click Apply)?
(If a new tab still opens, wait a few seconds and try again. It can take a few seconds for the change to be saved to disk sometimes.)
If that does solve things, it may be something we need to fix. If it doesn't make a difference, it's possible the program that's opening the folder isn't allowing focus to change to another window. (Checking what happens if you turn off Explorer Replacement entirely can help confirm that, i.e. if the same thing happens when File Explorer opens a new window.)
Edit: Disregard below. It worked once and isn't working again. I'll continue testing.
Edit 2: Even without DOpus replacing Explorer, that app is keeping the foreground.
Edit 3: Appears to function correctly with other applications. I will address the issue with the offending app developer. Apologies for wasting your time.
Thank you.
I didn't have "Open a new tab instead of a new window" checked.
Now that it is checked it is working.
If I de-select it again, it stops working.
Bonus points follow up question - Is there a way I can have the default lister only open with a single tab, rather than the dual pane approach in such a situation?
