I've been a registered user of Opus 9 for quite some time. I use Solid Edge as my Mechanical design software platform. In Windows XP the thumbnails displayed correctly using the shell extraction setting. Upgraded to Win 7 and the shell extraction stopped working.
I downloaded Opus 10 to evaluate and see if the thumbnails displays correctly again, no luck. I have tried to find and change this setting in Opus 10 but was not able to.
Is it possible for Opus 10 to display the Solid edge files as thumbnails, if not, It would be fruitless to upgrade.
Do you get thumbnails for the same files in Windows Explorer?
If not, and assuming you upgraded from XP 32-bit to Win7 64-bit, the problem may be that the version of Solid Edge you have only provides a 32-bit thumbnailer, not a 64-bit one for newer versions of Windows.
Have not been using Explorer for ages. Checked just now and does not display the thumbnails as well. Is there a solution for this problem. I use SE version 20, 32 bit. I don't use the newer versions as I don't like the interface and is used to Ver 20. T
That may make the thumbnails work but would introduce lots of other problems, which is why the 32-bit installer won't let you use it on 64-bit systems.
