Truncating breadcrumbs items?

I have some long folder names, and I'm wondering if it would be possible for the breadcrumb Location Field to truncate all folder names to a maximum length. With long folders, sometimes I can only go up one or two folders at a time using the breadcrumb bar, when I would like to go up three or four.

This example shows how when the parent folder name is long, it doesn't even display it. My lister is dual pane and not maximized here, hence the location bar isn't too wide.

There isn't a way to do that right now, but it's a good idea.

Is there somewhere I should submit a feature request?

These forums are the place to do feature requests. The feature will show up sooner or later, depending on their current prioritization of items to get completed. Usually, they'll reply to a feature request when it's been added to a freshly-released beta version.

Edited to add: You don't need to do anything else. Your post is the official request, as far as they're concerned.
