Two questions about virtual folders

  1. Why are two of my files showing as virtual? Why are they displayed in the "Files Stored on This Computer" section?
  2. How do I disable the "Files Stored on This Computer" section, so it doesn't show in My PC?

It looks like they are placeholders for files that are (or were) being copied. Which is likely a bug if they are appearing in the This PC folder.

Do you remember copying those files recently, and how the copy was initiated (e.g. drag & drop) and from which folder to which?

You can turn off that section of This PC via here:

Preferences / Folders / Virtual Folders / This PC / Include Files Stored on This Computer

The "Include Files Stored on This Computer" was not checked in my settings.

I have a button that uses ThioJoe's script to make a backup of files.
However, my Windows just installed and update, and asked that I restart my computer, which I did, and not that section is not there in My PC, so I guess, as you said, it WAS a bug that fixed itself.

Ok, I see the issue still persists. Here's a video screenshot recording that shows how each time I click the backup button (which uses TheoJoe's script) it creates that file in the "Files Stored on This Computer" section. They don't go away even if I delete the source backup files. I'm assuming they'd only go away if I restart my computer like last time, but I haven't tried. Or, maybe if I just restart Explorer, or logout and back in again.
