Hello,
I have a file called 'GGLogParser' in my current Directory.
I try to select it while typing 'GG' - but DOpus ignores the second 'G'
Bug? Feature? Missing config?
Thanks in advance.

Try this...
Settings -> Preferences -> Miscellaneous -> Advanced -> fayt_firstchar_repeat = true
With the default config you can search for double letters by typing the second letter in a different case. In other words, type gG or Gg and it will do what you want.
If you have changed the setting which blueroly suggests then you don't have to worry about this.
The reason for the default behaviour is that Opus is emulating what happens when you push letters in Explorer. (Pushing the same letter takes you to the next file that begins with that letter.) However, I think that behaviour combined with seeing what you are typing is confusing and maybe the default setting should be reversed. (And you can still use the cursor keys after typing a letter to move to the next matches.)
I've just sent that as a suggestion to GPSoftware to see if they agree.

Actually, it looks like the setting should be "false" to get the requested behavior.

When I enter a letter to select the first file/folder name beginning with that letter and then repeatedly press the cursor down key, I go down through all the files/folders in sequence without regard to the letter the names start with. As far as I can tell, this is true without regard to whether fayt_firstchar_repeat is true or false.

It works!
Thx a lot for all your response.

You can use F3 to find the next match rather than the next file. Useful when the file list isn't sorted by name.
