Has there been discussion about a user interface where you don't need mouse? You know, for Home Theater PCs, where you can easily copy/delete do the usual stuff with keyboard only.
I believe most remote controls for use in HTPC setups allow you to assign RC buttons to any arbitrary tasks to be executed on the PC... so I don't see why you couldn't do useful things with calls to dopusrt...
I think it is nearly impossible to have a "mouseless UI" - how many buttons should the remote control have? As steje posted, you can assign important commands in the settings of your remote control.
I also use DO on my HTCP using Logitech's DiNovo Mini (for typing) and Soundgraph's iMon - both include a mouse-function. Alternatively you can use RDP on a Laptop or a configurable RemoteControl-App on a mobile phone (WLan).
