I recently updated DO 13.6 .
I use the Synchronize Tool to backup backups and this copies many large files from a NAS folder to a local hard rive (USB attached).
During this copying process I have found that the UI of my computer periodically hangs. Everything hangs, all apps, the entire OS. It makes the machine un-usable during this process.
This did not occur with version 12.xx .

That's likely to be a system-wide issue, not something Opus itself is doing (at least directly).
Check in Task Manager how much memory, CPU and disk is being used, for example. If usage of any of those is close to 100%, it would slow down the whole system. (Even more so if it's an HDD not SSD.)
It could also be due to antivirus scanning the files as they're copied, which can sometimes slow down other file access throughout the system (depending on how the antivirus is designed).
I did check task manager ... nothing un-toward. Also I have a fairly robust system i9-9980HK, 64G main memory.
I am coping to a HDD, but again I haven't had this problem in the past. And I don't experience it now while doing anything else.
I suppose I could try to xcopy some large files around and see what happens. I'll let you know when I get around to it.
