Finally got around to making Dopus 64 generate thumbnails for flv video files but ran into a snag. Some of the files won't generate thumbnails because they can't be properly identified according to GSpot.
Are these newer flv files or just some badly created ones?

Are you sure they ARE flvs? Higher quality youtube vids are mp4.
There actually mp4's in the flash format so they needed to be extracted and mux but now I have a new problem...black thumbnails.

Try different/newer FLV splitters.
If it still doesn't work it might be asking on a video-related forum since it's about video files & splitters/decoders rather than Opus.
BTW, remember that Opus uses 64-bit splitter/decoder DLLs, unlike most video software which is still 32-bit.
I've looked around for a newer x64 splitter and can't find one. The one I installed is from January 2008.
The x32 versions don't work but I found one made in 2009.

Thanks Leo...to bad those filters didn't come up in a Google Search.
Interesting enough flv and mkv create thumbnails under Dopus just fine but under explorer they don't, probably need some reg settings for those.

I suspect that's how Leo found them
