Unprotect password-protected PDF -> File is locked by Dopus

Hi forum,

almost every time I open a PDF file that is password-protected (file-open-password), then remove the password, then try to save the file, Adobe Acrobat 7 complains that the file is locked and can't be saved.

This is even if the file is not previewed in the Dopus Preview Pane (i.e. the Preview Pane is closed).

If dopus is closed, the file can be saved with no problem -- this it's definitively Dopus that locks the file.

Any suggestions as how to get rid of this problem?

Does the same thing happen in Explorer?

Or does it happen in Opus if the only visible column is Name? (Turn all the other columns off first, then turn on the format lock (padlock icon on the status bar), then change to the folder with the PDFs in. If you've already viewed the folder restart Opus first.)

It may be a shell extension locking the file rather than Opus itself.

I can say already however, that the problem is absent in Windows Explorer.

Just tried here with a single PDF file.

Added password.

Saved.

Opened.

Removed Password.

Saved.

No problems.

This with Acrobat 7.
