UnRAR64.dll Obsolete!

for information:
https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2025-31334

Well that answers my question i just posted. What options do i have for updating this command that I use to extract and move into named folder?

cd {sourcepath}
"/programfiles\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe" x "{f}" "{o|noext}"
Copy MOVE TO ".{file|noext}"

If you think it's caused by UnRAR64.dll all you need to do is update WinRAR.

the unrar64.dll does not exist in winrar.
this *.dll is used by other programs as an add-on.
This can be found here in opus.
C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\VFSPlugins

for security reasons:
used externally = update winrar to 7.11
for internal a change from 02.08.2024 (7.1) to 20.03.2025 (7.11)
recommended.

If you don't want to wait for an internal update, you can find the library here:

WinRAR and RAR archiver addons

Alternatively, uncheck this in Preferences / Zip & Other Archives / Archive and VFS Plugins:

my WinRAR is 7.11 already

Thanks. DLL updated for the next beta.

the 7z.dll should also be updated!
dopus 24.8.0.0, current is 24.9.0.0
maybe that's why some users are currently having problems with the archives.
there are more and more reports about this lately!
has been noticeable since 13.14!

I updated 7z.dll at the same time, but none of the changes in that actually look relevant to Opus so it didn't seem worth mentioning. They're all about 7-Zip's own GUI, or changing defaults that don't make much difference.

The changes for packers are not included in the current
13.17 version?

Confirmed. Apologies for that. We'll get it fixed.

For your information:
unrar64.dll 7.13 available

Will be in the next beta.
