When the new version came out, I questioned what I was paying for. I was told you had spent 6 years developing this software and it was entirely new.
Well, you needed to spend a little more time to release a stable version.
To date this software is a mess, it crashes more than it ever has, it is as slow as molasses and it is even slower in displaying images than it was before.
I keep getting updates that are betas to fix bugs, those should not be betas, if you're just fixing bugs that means the underlying software is stable and it is not.
bad for you it is worse for the end user.
This software is running on a Dell XPS 8940, I7 12 Gen with 128 GB of RAM it is not my box to rule that our right away.
The release needs to be rolled back to a stable version and made available and until you can release stable updates you need to list those with a disclaimer.
I know I am not the only person using this unhappy software.
It's been rock-solid and working fantastic for me and whoever I know personally. Have you made sure to submit bug reports (Help > Submit Crash Logs or Help CRASHLOGS)? Hopefully that will help the devs figure out what causes the issues for you.
The OP's recent crash reports were due to a bug introduced in the 13.5.x betas which would only be triggered if there were non-JPEG images with JPEG extensions (e.g. they're really PNG or WebP or something else, but incorrectly named .JPG or .JPEG).
Most people won't run into it as a result, but it was a real bug. It's already fixed in the current 13.5.5 beta version.
I am a new Dopus user in the process of learning it. I have experimented with numerous different things with different settings. Forget crash, I have not even experienced a single instance of unresponsiveness of Dopus.
Even with all its complexities and plethora of features and customization options, I must admit that this software is rock solid. The more I dig into it, the more I realize how much love, passion and hard work of the Developers has gone into it. Kudos to the "Team Dopus".
