Update to 13.24.9 and 13.24.10 on arm64 fails

Since 13.24.9 dopus does not start anymore on my arm64 Samsung laptop. Went back to the latest stable version and problem was gone. Now updated to version 13.24.10 and got the same problem.

This is the error in the application event log (in dutch):

AFAIK arm is not supported (yet at least)

Please send us the crash logs. Here's how to find/submit them: Automatic crash logs (for bug reports)

As Dopus does not start I am unable to use the commands form the Help menu and the folder C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\DOpus.Minidumps is empty

FWIW I tried the current release on my test ARM64 machine and it started up fine.

Does the entry in the event log have a link to a crash dump anywhere?

The Windows Error Reporting (WER) system should already be capturing the process crash events, and will be writing mini-dumps and other report information to the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER" subdirectories.

In the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive are indeed several subdirs starting with "AppCrash_dopus.exe_".
I will upload the "Report.wer" as a zip file from the latest subdir.

Thanks, unfortunately the .wer file doesn't help - we need an actual mini-dump.

If Windows isn't collecting them automatically, there's information here about how to enable them:

If you manage to get one please zip and email it to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au rather than posting it here.

I managed to get the minidump and it is sent to the forementioned email address.
Thanks for your quick replies by the way.
Hope the minidump helps.

Thank you for sending that!

We've made a few changes to hopefully address the issue. Please give the 13.24.11 beta a try and let us know how you get on.

Problem solved. You rock!
Thanks for the support and amazingly fast solution!
Me Happy!

Seems they want it run on emulation as well. :slightly_smiling_face:
