If my update subscription is expired, am I still always able to get "up to update X", where update X is the last update that was available before my update subscription expired.
I haven't updated the program at any point during my subscription period, and now it's been a year, and I'm wondering if I can get the updates that I would be eligable for (the updates within a year after I bought the licence).
If so, how do I see which version I can get to?
Yes. You can see what the latest version you are entitled to from the Licence Manager in the Self Help section of our website.

It didn't say explicitly which version, but it did give a date. And it provided an installer, which appears to link to the right version. But it wasn't super clear that this is what it was doing, as there was no date label / version for me to match to my expiry date, not there at least.
