USB Dopus Will Run on XP but Not Vista?

My USB install of DOpus has so far run fine on a couple of XP machines (home and personal laptop) but as soon as I try and run it on my work Laptop (Vista Home Premium) it refuses to run saying there isn't a valid certificate ?

Is this some sort of licensing issue ?

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Does the USB device have more than one connector? (e.g. I've got an SD card that can flip in half to reveal an alternative USB connector.)

Are you using a Sandisk Cruzer? We've recently found a problem with some of these devices which causes this sort of issue - we will have a new version out that fixes it in a day or two.

Sorry guys It's actually a WD digital portable hard drive. So only a single connection (and it's obviously not a Sandisk).

Will test if it's still an issue in the next release (although it seems quite strange that it will run on XP machines but not Vista ?)

Thanks for the responses.

FYI, perhaps you already know this, but I am using a Sandisk Cruzer
with XP and USB Dopus and it works fine.

Just installed 9.0.0.1 and this is still an issue - DOpus indicates that I still don't have a valid certificate when running USB version under Vista.

Should I just enter my certificate again ?

I don't want to disable my DOpus installation !

Thanks

Maybe a silly question but did you re-export the new version of Opus to the USB key once you had installed it?

Not a silly question (I work in tech support - so we have to ask these questions as well) .

I did re-export to USB, Vista just refuses to believe I have a valid USB certificate.

Am wondering if it is because I am using a portable hard drive rather than a USB Stick (does Vista differentiate between portable USB hd's and USB sticks ?). Sorry not a a Vista expert (we don't actually support Vista at work) - only installed for testing and because I knew we would have to support it eventually.

It's possible that's the reason, yes - do you have a USB stick you could try?

What sort of external hard drive is it?

Have many, will give it a try latter.

Thanks

Sorry wasn't paying attention - drive in question is :

Western Digital 60GB Passport External USB 2.0 2.5" Hard Drive.

Jon,

Can confirm that Vista is happy for DOpus to run from a USB Stick, so it is obviously treating the Western Digital HD as a Removable HD rather than just a USB stick.

Apologies if I was not supposed to install on the Western Digital - as far as I was concerned I just use it as a giant USB stick (kept running out of space on my 4GB stick).

Cheers
